Lucy Sparrow's 8 ’Till Late

I suppose its fitting to spend a lot more for products than usual (or waiting in line to get into a bodega) since its in the Meat Packing District. When exiting Lucy Sparrow in her “8 ’Till Late” I ended up spending much more than I intended for some Guinness, a Hershey's chocolate bar and some Campbell's soup. But since what I picked up will never go bad and give me a lot of joy for quite some time the cost was a bit of a steal.

Walking through the bodega seeing products reconsidered through a different material by Lucy's hands was easily worth waiting in line for. While the experience in side was “fun”, I'm hesitant to use the word as it was more than just that. Being in a slightly altered commercial world felt different in a good way that was more than just fun. It was nice to experience the type, colors and brands I recognized in a slightly less negative way that wouldn't add calories or do anything bad to my body.

As I type away remembering going through the shop I look back at the products in their recognizable shapes now in a positive manner that I probably would never have felt if they were actually real.
